Abstract

In February 2025, Bengkulu Province's year-on-year (y-on-y) deflation is 1.26 percent with a Consumer Price Index of 104.73. Bengkulu City's y-on-y deflation was 0.98 percent with a CPI of 104.88 and Muko Muko Regency's y-on-y deflation was 2.10 percent with a CPI of 104.29.
The y-on-y deflation in Bengkulu Province occurred due to a decrease in prices indicated by the decline in several price indices of expenditure groups, namely: food, beverage and tobacco groups by 0.26 percent; housing, water, electricity, and household fuel groups by 13.58 percent; household equipment, equipment and routine maintenance group by 0.80 percent; and the information, communication, and financial services group by 0.41 percent. Meanwhile, the expenditure groups that experienced an increase in the index, namely: clothing and footwear group by 1.13 percent; health group by 2.88 percent; transportation group by 1.27 percent; recreation, sports, and culture groups by 1.38 percent; education group by 1.91 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group by 2.09 percent; and the personal care and other services group by 6.12 percent.
The month-to-month (m-to-m) deflation rate in February 2025 for Bengkulu Province is 0.57 percent and the year-to-date (y-to-d) deflation rate for February 2025 is 1.16 percent.
