Whoesale Trade Price (HPB) Survey

Data collection on Wholesale Trade Price Statistics is a continuous activity, which is carried out by the Statistics Indonesia (BPS) in supporting the implementation of national development. The price data included in the Wholesale Trade Price (HPB) survey is the wholesale price divided into 5 sectors, namely the Agriculture, Mining and Quarrying, Industry, Imported Goods and Exported Goods Groups.

The data was collected through a Wholesale Price Survey (HPB) in selected districts / cities from 34 provinces in Indonesia and the data collection was carried out routinely (per month), with a total sample of 8420 respondents per month. Utilization of the results of wholesale trade price statistics results include, among others, marked utilization of the Wholesale Trade Price Index (IHPB) by the Badan Pemeriksa Keuangan (BPK), Badan Pengawasan Keuangan dan Pembangunan(BPKP), Komisi Pengawas Persaingan Usaha (KPPU), entrepreneurs as their operational reference sources , and contracting companies as a foundation for the escalation of construction projects.

 

The objectives and benefits are:

1.      Calculate inflation at the wholesale level;

2.      Calculate GDP usage deflator;

3.      As a basis for project escalation in construction activities.
